The 2026 conference welcomed nearly 1,200 attendees from across the country, bringing together a vibrant community of practitioners, researchers, policymakers, advocates, and people with lived experience for several days of shared learning, connection and momentum-building.
This year’s conference reaffirmed Housing First as a proven approach to ending homelessness—pairing immediate access to housing with voluntary, ongoing services that support stability, safety, and well-being. When people have a safe and stable place to live, they gain the foundation to pursue meaningful activities, maintain wellness, and build strong social networks.
Attendees engaged in dynamic keynotes, plenaries, practical breakout sessions, and meaningful conversations focused on sustaining and advancing these principles through evidence-based and equity-centered approaches.
Voices of lived expertise were thoughtfully woven throughout the conference, enriching discussions and grounding conversations in real-world impact.
Participants left with new tools, strengthened partnerships, and renewed energy to advance Housing First solutions in their communities.
At its core, HFPC honors the resilience, determination, and humanity of those most impacted by homelessness. It celebrates the many individuals who have chartered their own paths toward stability and recovery through housing and support, while recognizing the critical need to extend these opportunities to many more individuals and families.
In a time when stigma and misconceptions risk overshadowing evidence and compassion, HFPC 2026 reaffirmed our shared mission, energize our collective work, and shape the future of Housing First. Together, we can ensure that housing remains the foundation for dignity, safety, and stability for all.
